It really does take a long time to put these photos into the blog, especially when your days are spent sightseeing. It would be great if I could be up-to-date and then post daily like a diary. Working on that!
So, for everyone who has been waiting patiently for Part 2, here we go!
Before we visit the Temples, let’s learn how to make an offering!
There are intricate details to making/creating an offering to bring to the Temples. You need Coconut Palm Leaves, Bamboo Skewers for threading the pieces together, or you can use a stapler. ;)
Step 2: You need to place this at the bottom. I forget what it is, but it’s very important.
Now we begin to add the flowers…
Beautiful! Almost Done…
Bring a basket of Balinese treats and fruits to eat after making the offering and saying a prayer.
Now we’re ready to go!
Let’s visit some Temples!
Pathway to Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave)
Entrance to Elephant Cave
Looks scary, doesn’t it? Walking in is quite an experience though and a cleansing takes place of your energy.
Onto the next Temple…
Enter Ulundanu Batur Temple
Ganesh is always a welcome sight!
Would you like to take a moment and say a prayer? I loved taking a picture of her! There was an instant resonance!
We leave Ulundanu Batur and head to…
Would you like to cleanse yourself in the water of this Holy Pond?
This is Tirta Empul Temple…
For a Holy Water cleansing, get in line!
After a long day…
We say goodnight Bali!
I decide to treat myself to a rose petal and plumeria bath. I felt like a Goddess!
That’s all for Part 2. Is there a Part 3? Nope, but there is more to come! Next country, Australia!
‘Til next time, thanks for reading and Happy Dreaming! :)
